Her Story

People began to notice Yasmine's unique beauty from a very young age. By the time she was 13, a model agent spotted her in a shopping mall. She was interested — but she was living in Iran at the time, and it was impossible to pursue. She had to wait.

At 16, upon her return to California, she finally began. The years between were not lost — they became the patience behind the poise. Last year she signed with Ford Models, and has since become one of fashion's most effortlessly compelling voices on Instagram.

Questions & Answers
Your greatest inspirations or influences?

It's so inspiring to see people at the top of their career who are keeping it real. I've met a lot of successful models and designers, but only a few still have their feet on the ground and are genuinely down to earth. One's ego can be dangerous — it's very easy to lose control once you're super successful. So it's always inspiring to see those who have managed to keep it real.

How do you describe current fashion trends?

Honestly — you can make ANYTHING a trend as long as you wear it with confidence and believe in it yourself.

Tips on social media?

What you put out on social media represents who you are. Having a public account on Instagram can be tricky once your following starts to go up — what you post will trigger the perception people have of you, whether you like it or not. But then again, people will say whatever they want to say and that's hard to control. So just do what you've got to do.

You travel often to Dubai — what do you like about it?

I have family and close friends in Dubai, so it feels like home when I visit. I really like how it's always growing as a city.

Personal Style Very fluid — it all depends on the mood.
