Editorial Standards
Antakly Projects has published independent cultural conversations since 2003. These are the principles behind every piece.
Independence. We choose subjects for the merit and resonance of their work, never for payment, popularity, or trend. We do not accept money, products, or any other consideration in exchange for editorial coverage, and we do not run sponsored content disguised as editorial. No advertiser, sponsor, or subject influences what we publish or how we publish it.
Relationships and disclosure. This platform was built over two decades, and many of the people featured here are longtime friends, collaborators, or acquaintances. We consider those relationships a strength, not a conflict, but we believe in naming them. Where a meaningful personal relationship exists between the editor and a subject, we say so within the piece.
Honesty in the work. Interviews are edited for clarity, length, and flow, and dossier material is often rewritten in the editor's voice, but we do not put words in a subject's mouth. Direct quotations are presented as given. When a piece revisits an older conversation from our archive, we say so, and we are transparent about what has been updated and what is preserved from the original.
Accuracy and corrections. We work to get things right, and we correct things when we get them wrong. If you spot an error, write to us and we will review it promptly. Substantive corrections are made openly rather than quietly.
On the use of AI. We use modern tools, including AI, to assist with research, production, and editing. Editorial judgment, selection, and final responsibility are human and rest with the editor, who stands behind every piece published here.
