ART WARS COMIC CON DUBAI

Art Wars was curated by  Mo Abedin, a well-known Emirati Urban Artist and Toy designer, which featured 20 UAE based artists applying their creative flair and individual styles to customize the classic ‘Storm Trooper’ helmet .

Artists involved include : Mohammed Al Mubarak, Jalal Luqman, Matar bin Lahej, Mohammed Kanoo, Ruben Sanchez, and El Seed.

The original exhibit was created by Ben Moore as a charity project set up in aid of his missing brother Thomas Moore (www.missingtom.com) and the helmets were supplied by Andrew Ainsworth of Sheperton Design Studios, who has worked on over 70 feature films and was the original prop designer from the first film ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’ in 1977. These helmets below were designed by renowned artists and designers including Damien Hirst, David Bailey, Yinka Shonibare MBE and Mr Brainwash among others.
