PURE IMAGINATION EDUARDO ALCIVAR GONZALEZ
Magic, unicorns, and so much glitter. A filmmaker who transports his audience to other places — sharing experiences and leaving them with something to think about, and even relate to.
"Traveling is my fuel of inspiration. It feeds my brain — I like to observe and interact with every culture in the world, absorb it all, and emulate them through my work. It's the best investment you can give to yourself."
Magic, unicorns, and so much glitter — a filmmaker who instantly charms you with his warmth, imagination, and talent. Pure Imagination is the only song for this story.
Eduardo Alcivar Gonzalez was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where from a very early age he developed a keen sense and love for the arts. After high school, he studied Graphic Design at Istituto Europeo Di Design (IED) in Milan, Italy, where he also became interested in film and photography.
Heavily influenced by the Bauhaus designers, the photographers who transformed the visual language of the 20th century, and the visionary filmmakers who proved that cinema could be a world unto itself — Eduardo began a search deeper into the beauty of moving images. Fashion photography and stills were not enough to share his vision.
In 2009 he moved to New York to attend the New York Film Academy and has since completed various short films, music videos, and fashion commercials. He was involved as producer on Medicine Men (directed by Guy Malim), which received recognition at Cannes. His first feature film — to be shot in Italy — is next.

I recently shot a fashion commercial for Mordekai featuring Bradley Soileau, and another for the brand Show Me Your Mumu. I'm also working with poet, writer and model Greta Bellamacina — our goal is to merge poetry with film and create something beautiful.
"With film, Eduardo feels he can express his visual style and specific aesthetic — with the yearning to transport his audience to other places, sharing experiences and leaving them with something to think about."
Antakly ProjectsA fashion commercial featuring model Bradley Soileau — Eduardo's visual signature: warmth, beauty, and an eye for the cinematic in the everyday.
Another fashion commercial for the cool and colourful SMYM — Eduardo's ability to make brands feel like worlds, not advertisements.
A collaboration with the poet, writer and model Greta Bellamacina — merging poetry with moving image to create something genuinely beautiful.
Eduardo's latest short film, in post-production. The name already suggests his instinct for the emotional complexity within seemingly contained situations.
Directed by Guy Malim — Eduardo as producer. The film received recognition at Cannes Festival, marking a significant milestone in his growing career behind the camera.
His first feature film, to be produced and shot in Italy. Everything so far has been building toward this moment. This is one to watch.
