Cem Guvendiren and Arcan Vargi are a highly acclaimed underground producer and DJ duos from the Sleep is Commercial family. Childhood friends from Istanbul who bonded over Ministry of Sound CDs and an early obsession with gear and production. Their dark, minimal, groove-laden sets have taken them from Berlin's Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse to BLKMARKET, ReSolute, and dance floors from Bogota to New York.
Their story starts in Istanbul, with Ministry of Sound CDs passed between school friends and an obsession with how machines made sound. Years later they are in Los Angeles, then New York, and back in Istanbul and Europe — always carrying the same grip on the groove, the same commitment to the underground, and the same friendship that started all of it.
Cem & Rg Back in the day, when minimal and techno were booming, we had the chance to listen and grow with the sound. We've been shaped by time. That's probably our biggest influence. But it's not just about the music. Our friends have always been a big influence. We do what we do to make them happy and make them dance.
Cem & Rg Club der Visionaere in Berlin definitely stands out. Also the Secret Sundays 10-Year Anniversary Boat Party by BLKMARKET was unforgettable. And of course countless afterparties in NYC and a few private ones back in Istanbul. Totally priceless.

Their release on Sleep is Commercial, Can't Stop Coughin', features a standout remix from Wareika and a collaboration with Andrea Ferlin. Looking ahead, they are focused on crafting albums for Sleep is Commercial, while preparing other productions for both friends and labels.
Recent gig highlights include playing in Bogota, Colombia with the Morph family and Seth Troxler, a session with Paco Osuna at BLKMARKET, and a NYC debut alongside Frank and Tony (Adultnapper and Anthony Collins) at Rivington Penthouse via Autobrennt.

DJ, producer, and co-founder of Fresh Mastering, a professional mixing and mastering studio. His sets lean toward hypnotic grooves, rooted equally in Istanbul's club culture and Berlin's underground. His approach to music is about depth, clarity, and the journey from studio solitude to the dance floor.
