I love to discuss the fashion industry when it is combined with the art world so you can imagine my excitement to cover Christie's & LuxCartel's First Open Reception. Jenna Sloan and Natalya Rovner of LuxCartel (my favorite " sartorial hunters- gatherers"), hosted  the contemporary art auction that showcased a selection of works curated by Ben Stiller and David Zwirner last month with a preview of  the young International designers the girls represent; Mina Ro, Okuta, Kalmanovich and bathing suit designer Tatjana Anika.  The art sale totaled a blockbuster $13.7 million, well above the presale high estimate of $10.5 million.
