Their sets are a masterclass in contrast — youthful energy meets seasoned experience, delivering dance floor moments that stay with you long after the music stops.
Hailing from Istanbul and now based in New York City, Cem & Rg are childhood friends turned sonic partners. They bonded over Ministry of Sound CDs, shared high school memories, and an early obsession with gear and production. Years later, their connection still drives the unique chemistry behind their dark, minimal, and groove-laden sets.
Global Stages & Underground Vibes
Having played around the world at events like BLKMARKET, ReSolute, South America Music Conference, Miami WMC, and more, Cem & Rg have earned their place in the global underground. They've shared booths with heavyweights, clocked in marathon DJ sets, and consistently left a lasting impression on dance floors from Berlin to Bogotá.

“Club der Visionaere in Berlin definitely stands out. Also the Secret Sundays 10-Year Anniversary Boat Party by BLKMARKET was unforgettable,” they shared. “And, of course, countless afterparties in NYC and a few private ones back in Istanbul — totally priceless.”
The Inspiration Behind the Sound
Cem & Rg draw inspiration not only from the music they love but the time they've spent immersed in it.
“Back in the day, when minimal and techno were booming, we had the chance to listen and grow with the sound,” they say. “We’ve been shaped by time — that’s probably our biggest influence.”
But it’s not just about the music. “Our friends have always been a big influence. We do what we do to make them happy and make them dance.”
Studio Work & Upcoming Projects
The duo has been hard at work in the studio, and their efforts are already making waves. Their recent release on Sleep is Commercial, Can’t Stop Coughin’, features a standout remix from Wareika and a collaboration with Andrea Ferlin.

Looking ahead, Cem & Rg are focused on crafting their debut album for Sleep is Commercial, while preparing other productions for both friends and labels. A live show is also in the works, promising a new dimension to their performance style.
On the gig front, recent highlights include playing in Bogotá, Colombia with the Morph family and Seth Troxler, a session with Paco Osuna at BLKMARKET, and a NYC debut alongside Frank & Tony (aka Adultnapper and Anthony Collins) at Rivington Penthouse via Autobrennt.
