Photography & Stuff: Chris Moore
Before Chris Moore’s photographs found their way into galleries, they were born on the asphalt of Colorado skateparks. Growing up a dedicated skateboarder in the '90s, his world was defined by the culture and its magazines, which, along with his father’s Canon F-1, became his first inspirations. What began as a practical need—documenting his friends in action—blossomed into a profound passion. He immersed himself in the alchemy of the darkroom, honing a craft that would eventually push far beyond the half-pipe. While the subculture of skateboarding remains a central muse, Moore’s focus has evolved to capture its soul through intimate portraits, stark landscapes, and the quiet moments in between, establishing him as a true documentarian of the life he knows best.
