Charlotte Collard In Her Kitchen
One of the first posts on this site was an interview with Charlotte Collard—an international model always traveling and exploring the world. It became one of our most-read pieces and has stayed that way. Fast forward to today: Charlotte has gone from fashion model to entrepreneur to mother of three, and built something entirely her own at the intersection of food, fashion, and the feed.
What does it look like when a woman with twenty years in the fashion world turns her lens toward the kitchen? If you follow Charlotte Collard, you already know the answer: it looks effortless, considered, and wholly unlike anything else on your scroll. We caught up with her to talk about the pivot, the philosophy, and what she's cooking.
Charlotte, we're so happy to have you back. What are some of the highlights since your last interview with Ninu Nina?
I have been through a lot of changes — becoming a mother of three in two years, going through the tech world, and then, two years ago, launching a fashion and food project that has become everything.
How did you become "Instagram's most fashionable foodie"?
It all started as a self-portrait — a moment of reckoning after I became a mother of three girls, based in Brussels. I had to take a few weeks off and rethink where I was going. It had to do with who I am and where I was living.
I started by looking inward, listening to what I love beyond all my existing passions. I listened to my heart — which kept saying: cooking, giving, sharing. Then I brought my brain into it, because I was not willing to give up the fashion world after twenty years of experiences in something I deeply love.
One day I shot a bag with fruits in it and posted it on Instagram. In that moment — when two networks crossed — I understood everything. I started developing both audiences inside each other. Fashion and food don't just coexist; they amplify each other.
"After twenty years in a world I deeply love, I had to take it with me on board — I had to find a way to keep it alive while building something new."
What is a typical day like for you?
Always intense. As a mother of three and a wife, the days are short and full. You have to be extremely organized to make the most of every hour — there's no other way to do it.
What inspires or influences you most today?
I get inspired by anything that catches my eye. My eyes are like a vacuum — everything they take in gets processed by my brain and translated through whatever technique I've acquired through experience.

Charlotte has begun a new chapter: collaborating directly with the world's best chefs. The concept is simple and brilliant — choose a recipe together, have the chef teach it to her, then recook it on her own terms. The first edition was with Chocolate Master Pierre Marcolini. She sees chefs as masters fighting for quality and artisanship — and as the most efficient way to learn when cooking school simply isn't possible.
