KATRIN KORFMANN PHOTOGRAPHY
I am pretty much in love with all the work by aerial photographer Katrin Korfmann who grew up in Berlin and lives in Amsterdam. Her technique is rather simple shooting her subjects from cranes, and when cranes are not possible, she then sends her camera up in a remote-controlled helicopter. What is interesting is what comes next. She takes multiple images ( between 500 and 2000 shots) and then blends them to produce the one final composite. Sometimes these photographs are taken at different times so she has to manipulate the exposure in order for it to feel like it was all taken at the same time.
