BATYA KEBUDI INTERVIEW
Batya Kebudi always knew that her fascination with accessories would someday lead her to designing them. Ever since she could remember an outfit was never complete without the right ones. At Madame Figaro, a fashion magazine she worked on for years, she prepared monthly jewelry editorials, and interviewed the designers always thinking “me too- some day!” It took her some time to decide to turn her dream into a reality even with the support of friends and people she met in her travels who asked her to create pieces. It was not until she returned to Istanbul and decided to go ahead and start her very own collection and is how her ‘golden’ adventure took off. One of her unique qualities is that people always comment on her luminosity which is in fact the glimmer of the golden light and core element of her work. This element has brought a lot of luck to her life and she firmly believes that her pieces will bring lucky to everyone who wears them too.
