Graphic Designer Parker Gibson
Parker Gibson was born and raised in Iowa, has designing for only 3 years, is currently a student in the School of Art and Art History at The University of Iowa and has already been featured on our favorite notcot.org! We are going to keep an eye on his work and believe once he graduates he is going to continue creating an amazing portfolio of graphic design.
Favorite project? Favorite project I have worked on would be KRUI, The University of Iowa's student run radio station. I did the calendar of events and a lot of the other promotional materials for their 25th anniversary. I was granted complete creative freedom on the project which was amazing. Also, being a student, it was nice to see the the finished product actually being put to use by a client.
Dream project? Infinite funds to create my own design studio.
- I think music inspires my design more than anything. I have to be listening to music when I work, and I can usually tell what kind of music I was listening to depending on how the design turned out.
- Other than music..designers like Martin Venezky, David Carson, Gert Dumbar and Cristiana Coucerio are great to look at for inspiration.
- My stuff rarely comes out looking like their work, but looking at it frees me up and gets me to think outside the box.
